Bekament Foundation joined the campaign of the Police Administration of Kragujevac in collecting aid for 23 monasteries of the Diocese of Šumadija, whereby it donated packages of food products and soft drinks, for basic needs, intended for their residents.
The General Manager of Bekament company, Mr. Dejan Čolović, handed over a donation on behalf of the Bekament Foundation and on that occasion pointed out that in the fight against a global pandemic, the clergy also need help, because due to the curfew, believers are not able to attend liturgies and leave donations through which churches and monasteries are mostly financed.
Bekament Foundation supported this initiative of the Police Administration of Kragujevac, but even at the beginning of the fight against COVID-19, it itself initiated an action of collecting funds intended to help the health system in the Municipality of Arandjelovac in order to preserve the health of medical staff as one of the most risky groups. Since the start of the campaign, funds in the amount of RSD 700,000 have been collected, used for the purchase of the first contingent of medical protective equipment.
In addition to priority assistance to medical staff, the Bekament Foundation also provided support to the Police Administration in Kragujevac in the form of a donation of protective health equipment, in order to preserve the safety of employees in their daily work tasks.
Also, in the fight against the pandemic, the Bekament company joined and sent a donation in the amount of RSD 4 million to the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia, in favor of the Republic Health Insurance Fund to ensure adequate equipment for the health system of Serbia.
Bekament Company and Bekament Foundation, as socially responsible institutions, will certainly continue to provide support where it is most needed through their humanitarian work.
Show solidarity. Take care of each other.
