BK-Signal Color Cold Bela (White) is a two-component cold plastic, intended for marking horizontal traffic signals. It is used for marking intersections, dividing lines on all types of roads, as well as for painting public areas. By mixing the basic component with a liquid peroxide catalyst in a ratio of 98:2, a material is obtained which is ready for machine (spray) application and which is characterized by a very fast hardening time. It is characterized by good adhesion to the substrate, resistance to motor oils, atmospheric influences, as well as to elevated and low temperatures.
Preparation and application: Before application, the asphalt surface must be clean, dry, dust-free and grease-free. Application is done mechanically (spray application). Before use, homogenize the mass well by mixing. The material must not be diluted. A liquid catalyst is used to initiate the chemical reaction. Hardening time at 20ºC: 4-6 minutes. The catalyzed mixture must be used within 2.5 minutes at the latest. If the temperature of the substrate is different from 20 ºC, then the table should be followed:
Temperature of the substrate,, ºC | Amount of catalyst (% by weight) | Time of use of the catalyzed product (Pot life), min | Hardening time, min |
5 | 2 | 6 | 17 |
10 | 2 | 4 | 10 |
20 | 2 | 2,5 | 6 |
30 | 2 | 1,5 | 4 |
