BK-MetalPrime BS is a quick-drying basic coating for metal, based on alkyd resins with the addition of anti-corrosive pigments. The primer is characterized by exceptional hardness, elasticity and adhesion. It is applied in two layers on a dry and previously cleaned and degreased surface without rust, in a system with a final quick-drying and covering coating, BK-Emajl BS.

Preparation and application :

The substrate must be prepared before applying the paint, i.e. degreased, dry, cleaned and free of rust. Remove rust mechanically, and remove grease and other impurities with a degreaser. Before use, it is necessary to mix the mass well, and then dilute the primer with BK-RX thinner according to the instructions. Diluting: 5-10% for application by brush, roller and up to 15% for spraying (gun with nozzle ø 1.8). When diluted, the coverage decreases. Apply in 1-2 layers. The second layer should be applied a maximum of 1-2 hours after the application of the first layer, or a minimum of 48 hours after the application of the first layer.

Application temperature :

From +10 ºC to +30 ºC. The optimal temperature for work is between 15 and 25 °C and relative humidity below 80%. It is not recommended to work at a temperature lower than 5 °C. Do not work in direct sunlight, rain, strong wind and r.a.h. greater than 80%.

Consumption :

About 75-100 ml/m2 in one layer.

Shelf life and storage :

36 months in original packaging. Store at a temperature of +5 ºC to +30 ºC, protected from sunlight and freezing. The production date is stamped on the packaging.
