Cement mortar for interior and exterior walls

USE
CHARACTERISTICS
PACKAGE

Cement mortar intended for machine and manual coating of exterior and interior walls made of brick, block, aerated concrete, concrete, concrete slabs, and similar materials. The product is characterized by high mechanical strength and good adhesion to the substrate, making it especially suitable for areas with increased humidity, such as toilets, basements, bathrooms, and kitchens.

Preparation and application :
The substrate on which the mortar is applied must be firm, clean, and dry, without loose joints and greasy stains. Holes, joints, and electrical openings should be closed before plastering begins. For walls made of clay block, brick, or with significant unevenness, a thinned plaster (syringe) should be applied beforehand. When plastering on concrete or other smooth surfaces, apply BK-Beton Kontakt on the substrate to improve mortar adhesion. For highly absorbent, porous substrates like gas-concrete blocks, apply BK-Nivelator to prevent uneven drying and cracking of the mortar. Prepare the mortar by intensively mixing the powder with about 21-23% water (approximately 6.5-7 liters of water per 30 kg of powder). Apply the mortar by machine in a layer thickness of 10 mm minimum and 25 mm maximum. For greater thicknesses, apply continuously with the fresh-to-fresh method up to a maximum of 30 mm total thickness. After application, level the mortar with an H-bar. Once it has set for a while, depending on the conditions (typically a few hours), use an appropriate tool (scraper, piranha, etc.) to finish the mortar, leaving a rough surface. The final look is achieved by felting—moisten the surface with water and felt it with a sponge float for a fine finish. The mortar must harden evenly, so avoid direct heating. For more detailed instructions, see the product data sheet. See product data sheet for detailed instructions.
