PACKAGE

One-component, waterproofing coating for horizontal and vertical protection of surfaces from moisture. It is used for waterproofing potentially damp rooms such as kitchens, bathrooms, shower cabins, swimming pools, basements, terraces, etc. It is intended for indoor and outdoor use and is not intended for surface finishing, nor for systems that are in permanent contact with water.

Preparation and application :

The substrate on which BK-HidroStop Base is applied must be firm, dust-free, dry, and free of grease, mold, and loose parts. Before applying the waterproofing, it is recommended to coat the substrate with BK-Ultra Prime. In the case of old and unevenly absorbing substrates, as well as porous, highly absorbent substrates, it is necessary to apply BK-Ultra Prime at least 4 hours before applying the waterproofing. For surfaces that peel, wear, and/or produce dust, it is necessary to remove all loose parts and then impregnate the substrate with BK-Penetrat. Concrete surfaces should be thoroughly washed with hot water to remove impurities and, after complete drying, coated with BK-Beton Kontakt. The coating is prepared by adding about 5.5 liters of water to a 20 kg bag and mixing until complete homogenization. Let the mixture stand for about 5 minutes, then mix again. Use the prepared mixture within 2 hours. The coating is applied with a brush in two crosswise coats until the surface is completely covered. The thickness of one layer is approximately 1 mm, and the second layer is applied after the previous one has hardened. The waterproofing coating should be protected from rapid drying. After 12 hours from the application of the last layer, the surface is ready for laying ceramics (use adhesives such as SiproFix BK-110). See the product data sheet for detailed instructions.

Consumption :

Approximately 1.2 kg/m²/mm, depending on the quality of the substrate.

Shelf life and storage :

12 months in original packaging in dry room on pallets.
