Mineral powder intended for protection and decoration of interior wall surfaces. It can also be used as a first coat when leveling the interior substrate of rough mortars because of the possibility of thicker application in a single layer.
Preparation and application :
The surface to which the mortar is applied must be solid, clean, and dry, and, if necessary, primed with BK-Primer in the case of weak and absorbent surfaces. The preparation is done by slowly adding the powder to about 38-40% water (9.5-10 liters of water for 25 kg of powder), while constantly mixing with an electric mixer until completely wetted and homogenized. Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes, then stir again and, if necessary, add a bit more water to adjust the consistency. The mixture is applied manually with a stainless steel trowel in a thickness of 1 to 3 mm, depending on the desired texture and finishing technique. A thinner layer allows for a finer texture, while a thicker layer creates a coarser surface effect. The surface with freshly applied mortar is processed using a roller, which is soaked in the fresh mortar before use (the type of roller also depends on the desired texture). The mixture can also be worked with other tools such as sponges, brushes, and special types of textured rollers. The air and surface temperature during application should be between +5°C and +30°C. The prepared mixture must be used within 2 hours.
Shelf life :
12 months in original packaging in dry room on pallets.
Consumption :
Ranging from 2-3 kg/m², depending on the desired structure and quality of the substrate.
