Highly adhesive primer primarily used to improve adhesion on smooth, poorly absorbent, and problematic surfaces, such as ceramic tiles, smooth concretes, and other solid compact non-absorbent surfaces. Water-diluted BK-Bond can also be used when applying skim coats, ceramic adhesives, self-leveling compounds, mineral renders, etc., to gypsum cardboards or cement-fiber boards, anhydrite substrates, highly absorbent renders, and other cement substrates. By applying BK-Bond, residual dust is bound and the surface is equalized, achieving better bonding of the next layer to the substrate.

Preparation and application :

Be sure to shake well before using BK-Bond. In the case of poorly absorbent surfaces, BK-Bond is applied undiluted with a brush or short-hair roller, typically in a single layer. Subsequent coats can be applied after a minimum of 6 hours of drying under normal conditions (23°C and 50-60% relative humidity), when the coating achieves scratch resistance. If used on absorbent surfaces, the product should be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:3 (primer: water). Once diluted, apply it with a brush, roller, or spray in 1-2 coats depending on the absorbency and desired effect, using the wet-to-wet principle.

Consumption :

Approx. 0.05-0.10 l/m2 depending on the absorbency and use.

Shelf life and storage :

12 months in original sealed packing. Store at temperatures from +5°C to +25°C, protected from direct sunlight and frost. The production date is printed on the packaging.
