Eco-friendly base coat for wood. It provides excellent blockage of the penetration of tannin and other water-soluble substances from the wood into the surface layers of the coating, especially in the case of oak, beech, chestnut, etc. The product is suitable for the protection of exterior and interior wood elements: windows, doors, blinds, garden joinery, log cabins, fences, and the like.

Preparation and application :

The wooden surface for application must be dry, clean, and sanded, and any unevenness filled with mass. The compound should be homogenized well before use, and if necessary, it can be diluted with water up to 5% (0.03 l water) for application with a brush or roller, and up to 10% (0.06 l water) if applied by spraying. Before the first painting, it is recommended to protect wooden elements from external influences such as mold, mildew, and parasites by applying BK-Protecta. Old, preserved coatings should be sanded with sandpaper. Coatings in poor condition must be completely removed. BK-AquaPrimer is applied in 1-2 coats. Apply 2 coats on soft, knotty wood and hardwoods with a high content of tannin, such as oak, chestnut, walnut, beech, etc. Particular attention should be paid to the knots, ensuring the paint penetrates deep into any cracks. Before applying the second coat, it is necessary to gently sand the completely dried wood surface to cut the raised wood fibers. Due to the fast drying, it is recommended to apply in strips without interruption and quickly spread any drops to avoid drying. The drying time between coats is 4 hours in normal conditions (23 °C and 50-60% r.h.). As dilution increases, the coverage of the coating and its ability to prevent the penetration of tannins and other water-soluble substances decreases. Application temperature :

From +5°C to +30°C. Do not work under direct sunlight, rain or strong wind, and relative humidity >80 %.

Consumption :

0,06-0,08 l/m² for one coating, depending on the type of wood.

Shelf life and storage :

18 months in original sealed packing. Store at temperatures from +5°C to +25°C, protected from direct sunlight and frost. The production date is printed on the packaging.
