BK-Signal Color Cold White is a two-component cold plastic, intended for thick-layer horizontal road marking. It is used for applying smooth lines, profiled, and structured markings on asphalt (pedestrian crossings, arrows, parking and stop lines, bus stops, etc.). By mixing the base component with a peroxide catalyst, the material becomes ready for manual application. It is characterized by good adhesion to the substrate, resistance to motor oils, weather conditions, and both high and low temperatures. Preparation and application: The asphalt surface must be clean, dry, dust-free, and grease-free before application. Apply manually with a trowel, spatula, roller, applicator, or similar tool. Thoroughly homogenize the mixture by stirring before use. The material must not be diluted. Mix the catalyst well into the base material. Powdered or liquid catalyst can be used. Curing time at 20ºC: 15-25 minutes. The catalyzed mixture must be used within 10 minutes at the latest. If the substrate temperature differs from 20ºC, refer to the table.
Substrate temperature, ºC | Catalyst amount (% by weight) | Pot life of catalyzed product, min | Curing time, min |
10 | 2 | 14 | 45 |
20 | 2 | 9 | 25 |
30 | 1 | 7 | 16 |
40 | 0,5 | 6 | 12 |
