BK-AquaPhobe is a colorless hydrophobic impregnation based on silane and siloxane, intended for both outdoor and indoor use. It can be applied as a finish or as an additive to cement mixtures to enhance the hydrophobic properties of the material. It is recommended for impregnation of mineral and synthetic facade renders, bricks, tiles, natural stone, concrete surfaces, grout compounds, and similar materials. This product is designed to protect mineral surfaces from excessive water absorption and aggressive airborne chemicals that can damage and degrade the appearance of buildings and monuments. It also reduces the occurrence of efflorescence on mineral surfaces and minimizes the likelihood of microorganisms and moss developing on shaded areas of facades.

Preparation and application :

Shake the product thoroughly in its container before use, then apply it undiluted with a soft brush, roller, or sprayer. To ensure deep penetration and effective results, apply the coating until saturation, following the wet-to-wet principle. After 10 minutes, remove any excess material from horizontal surfaces. The water-repellent effect will develop within 24 hours after application. Please refer to the product datasheet for more detailed instructions.

Application temperature :

Ensure the installation temperature is between +5ºC and +30ºC, with a maximum relative humidity of 80%. Avoid application in direct sunlight, wind, rain, or fog. High humidity and low temperatures can significantly extend the drying time.

Consumption :

0,10-0,50 l/m2 depending on the surface to be coated.

Shelf life and storage :

12 months stored at +5°C to +25°C, protected from direct sunlight and frost.
